Eugene Nida: Sociolinguistics and Translating (1995)

Eugene Nida, one of the most eminent translation scholars of the the 20th century and a founder of modern translation studies, gave several lectures at the University of Vic towards the end of his life. University of Vic students were certainly privileged to have the opportunity to learn first hand from this elder statesman of the field.

In order to offer others a similar opportunity, Tradiling has been publishing recordings of these events. Here we make available a lecture on Sociolinguistics and Translating from a visit by Eugene Nida in 1995.
